Why Do People See Me

What Brings People To Therapy

My name is Angela Ewing, I am a therapist based at Round House Park which is in the Norwich suburb Cringleford. This is in south west Norwich and is very close to The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and the University of East Anglia.

Having trained at The Bowlby Centre in London I offer psychotherapy to people who want professional help with a range of issues.

In my experience people seek out therapy because of struggles they are having in a close relationship. This can be about a partner, a child, a sibling, a parent or a combination of the above. Others are concerned about difficulties they are experiencing in work. This can be difficulties with colleagues or with their career path. Sometimes it is the relationship a person has with themselves that needs to be worked on.

Occasionally people choose to go into therapy because they are planning ahead, for example before starting a family or a significant career move. They want to deal with pre-existing issues beforehand or they may want to explore their options more fully. Particularly if they are thinking “do I really want to do this?”

Together we can work at getting to the heart of the matter. A safe neutral space to work on what is going on with you is available now. Please contact me to arrange an initial meeting.

I work with any age group over 18 years.

My Training and Values

I trained from 2012 to 2016 at The Bowlby Centre, in London , which specialises in Attachment Based Psychotherapy.

Prior to that I did 3 trainings at the University of East Anglia. Two of these were in counselling and one was an introduction to CBT.

I am a pre registration member of the Bowlby Centre and the UKCP.

I subscribe to the Bowlby Centre values as expressed by their statement:

“We inherently welcome, value and celebrate diversity. We seek to understand the reality of people from different ethnicities, ages, sexual orientations, gender identities, faiths, abilities and disabilities, neurominorities and socio-economic backgrounds.”

I have a special interest in working with university students and in some cases offer reduced fees to both undergraduate and post graduate students.

All work is confidential.
